It will be replaced with an ONT (optical network terminal) which converts fiber (light) signals to something (electrical) that flows to copper wires. Ethernet cable (data cable, RJ45) is used from the ONT to your AT&T modem. Spectrum is the cable brand in my neighborhood as well, I attempted to go that route before I discovered our neighborhood had fiber!
